I wake up in the darkness. Outside the wind howls a song of desire: ‘come out, come out now, we want you to join us!’. A long cold shiver descends down my spine and my legs move to the door.
The door opens with a creaking sound and the wind blows inside. The air is filled with transparent creatures who ride along the dark sky. My eye catches the vision of its leader: I look into the crystal blue eye of Wotan the Wanderer on his Wild Hunt.
Now I understand the madness and sadness that has emerged my soul these last dark weeks. This is were I am supposed to be….
This year’s Holy Nights Event is about Wotan also known as Odin. Starting Christmas Eve, we will join Odin as Santa, go on the Wild Hunt, hang out under the Christmas Tree, get
inspired by the mead of poetry, pay honour to our ancestors at the Well of Urd, dream about Baldur the God of Joy. Odin promises to be a good host, even though he is also a Trickster. But when he is up to something, there is always Freya to keep him on the right path using her Vanir Magic.
The Twelve Holy Nights are a perfect time to retreat and prepare for the next year. Each night stands for a corresponding month of the next year. Here is this year’s program:

Each morning you have the possibility to share your dreams in a group and discuss them using the ‘If it was my dream’ (IIWMD) method. You use this sentence to indicate that this is your interpretation of the dream that is shared. The most important rule is to always be respectful towards the dreamer and create a safe environment to prepare for the year ahead.
Each day you will read a blog and get an incubation. Using this incubation, it is easy to tune into dreams. each morning you can share your dreams on the forum and talk about it with other participants.
